FindScan lists independent imaging providers across the UK. We are not their agent and they are not our subcontractors. This page explains the relationship plainly, because an unclear one is how directories end up misleading people.
Clinics are listed with their services, locations and the prices they publish. A clinic can ask to be listed, correct its own entry, or ask to be removed. We also build listings from publicly available information, and we correct them when a clinic tells us something is wrong.
Prices shown are the clinic's own. We do not mark them up and we do not add a booking fee. Where a clinic has not published a price we show it as to be confirmed rather than estimating. Only the clinic can give you a binding quote, and a scan needing contrast, more than one body area or a specialist report may cost more.
Search results are ordered by distance from the location you enter, with the filters you choose applied. Nothing a clinic pays us changes where it appears. We do not sell position, we do not offer promoted placement, and we do not accept payment to exclude a competitor.
When you enquire, we pass your details to the clinic you chose so it can contact you. That is a request for contact, not a booking and not a held appointment. We do not take payment for scans, we do not hold deposits, and your agreement for the scan is with the clinic.
The clinic is responsible for the care it provides, for its own regulatory registration, and for the clinicians it engages. If something goes wrong with your care, the complaint goes to the clinic and then to its regulator. We will help you work out who to approach, and we want to know about it, but we cannot investigate clinical care ourselves.
Clinicians referring patients use a separate portal at referrals.findscan.co.uk, under its own terms. FindScan carries the referral between clinician and provider. It does not generate referrals and it does not make clinical decisions.
